winter weather update

Church family, our hearts are with you. We know many are still navigating the effects of the winter weather—especially those without power or heat. Please know you are deeply loved, prayed for, and not alone. We’re grateful that power has been restored to the church, and we look forward to gathering for worship this Sunday at 10:40 a.m. There will be no Sunday School this week, but we invite you to come a little early and warm up with us at 9:45 a.m. for coffee, hot chocolate, donuts, and shared fellowship. If you’re able to join us, please use caution in the parking lot, as some slick spots may remain. And if you need to stay home, know we understand and are holding you in prayer.

Wrapping Up Another Fantastic Year of PDO

Parent's Day Out teachers at Stephens Valley Church

Denise Daniels, Director of Children’s Ministries and Parent’s Day Out

What a fantastic week for our Parent’s Day Out program! We had 14 children graduate on Tuesday evening as they head on to Kindergarten. Our biggest graduating class yet! They recited the first 10 questions of the Catechism that they have been learning in Chapel this year, sang a couple of songs, and received achievement awards, diplomas, and a Storybook Bible. It was a sweet time for families to celebrate this fun milestone.

Then Thursday, May 14, was our last day of school. We celebrated with a potluck lunch and slideshow of the year in review! This was a great time of fun and fellowship for our families and teachers. I am excited to say that 100% of our teachers will be returning in the fall!

Thank you for your support of Parent’s Day Out—from replenishing supplies, to buying items off the wish tree, to purchasing Bundt cakes—everything is greatly appreciated! Thank you to Virginia Anderson, Marilyn Caldwell, and Sue Reeves for setting up and serving refreshments Tuesday evening as well as on Thursday for the picnic. We are looking forward to a restful summer and a great 2026–27 school year!
