winter weather update

Church family, our hearts are with you. We know many are still navigating the effects of the winter weather—especially those without power or heat. Please know you are deeply loved, prayed for, and not alone. We’re grateful that power has been restored to the church, and we look forward to gathering for worship this Sunday at 10:40 a.m. There will be no Sunday School this week, but we invite you to come a little early and warm up with us at 9:45 a.m. for coffee, hot chocolate, donuts, and shared fellowship. If you’re able to join us, please use caution in the parking lot, as some slick spots may remain. And if you need to stay home, know we understand and are holding you in prayer.

  • Planning to eat with us? Register by noon on Monday.
  • Adult and Children’s Menu: Potluck | The church will provide fried chicken, drinks, and dessert. Bring your favorite side dish or salad to share. There is no charge for the meal, but donations are appreciated.
  • Adults: Take a deep dive into The Ten Commandments: Does Anyone Really Care? On September 9, Louis Joseph will examine “No graven images.”
  • Youth: Enjoy games, worship, biblical teaching, and great fellowship.
  • Kids: Prepare A Quizzical Christmas, a musical designed just for kids. 
  • Nursery is available by reservation for ages 0–3.
  • Choir rehearsal at 6:40 p.m. (open to all high school students and adults)

This was the title of our Wednesday night Bible study last spring which was devoted to Romans 9–11 and consisting of 10 sessions taught by teachers from the church. Along with the assurance and relevant points of the gospel, Paul also addressed the difficult matters of predestination and the place of Israel today.
