Joe Huertas, Church Treasurer
As we step into 2026, I want to begin by expressing my heartfelt gratitude. Your generosity over the past year has been a powerful testimony of faith, obedience, and love for the work God is doing through our church. Because of your faithful giving, lives have been transformed, ministries have flourished, and the name of Christ has been proclaimed both locally and globally.
As many of you know, we recently transitioned to a calendar-year fiscal cycle. Once our 2026 budget is finalized, we will share regular updates throughout the year to show how giving aligns with the needs outlined in that plan. Our goal is transparency and partnership—so together we can celebrate God’s provision and identify areas where continued faithfulness is needed.
The opportunities before us in 2026 are significant and purpose-driven. Your giving directly supports:
- Global and local mission work, sharing the Gospel and serving those in need
- Expanded outreach programs, being the hands and feed of Christ in our community, as well as a welcoming, loving, and growing church body
- Debt reduction, strengthening the long-term financial health of our church
- Children’s, youth, and music ministries, shaping faith and worship across generations
Scripture reminds us that giving is more than a financial act—it is an act of worship. The Apostle Paul tells us that: “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” — 2 Corinthians 9:7
Jesus affirmed this truth by telling us that “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” — Matthew 6:21
And through the Old Testament prophet Malachi, God calls His people to faithful provision: “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house.” — Malachi 3:10
These passages remind us that generosity flows from gratitude and trust in God’s provision. As we journey through 2026, I encourage each of us to pray consistently and faithfully throughout the year about our giving. While special gifts are always a blessing, steady support enables ministries to thrive, missionaries to serve, and church planning to move forward with confidence.
Let me close by saying that several of you have asked about how we did in 2025. While we have not yet closed our books for 2025, I can tell you that our expected financial position will not be what we were hoping for. Thus, my urging all of us to prayerfully consider our giving in 2026. Let us pour out our financial blessings upon our church this year so that it may accomplish the Lord’s work we are planning for in 2026.
Thank you again for the faithfulness you have already shown. It is evident, deeply appreciated, and bearing fruit. I look forward to walking together in the year ahead as we trust God, support His work, and steward His resources wisely.
